In this 4-week beginner wheel throwing class, students will learn how to center clay, pull walls, and begin shaping simple forms on the wheel. You’ll also be introduced to trimming and the basics of glazing, building a strong foundation while creating your first finished pieces.

In this 4-week all-levels wheel throwing class, beginners will learn how to center, pull walls, and shape simple forms, while advanced students can refine their technique and explore more complex forms. Students will also practice trimming and glazing, with individualized guidance to support growth at every level.
8 week classes
A more in-depth course that allows time for skill development, experimentation, and personal expression.

In this 8-week beginner class, students will explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding, learning how to center, pull walls, and shape forms on the wheel while gradually working toward more complex pieces. You’ll also learn the basics of hand building through pinch, slab, and coil techniques, gaining a well-rounded foundation to create a variety of functional and sculptural work.

In this 8-week all-levels class, beginners will build a strong foundation in wheel throwing and handbuilding, learning to center, pull walls, shape forms, and explore pinch, slab, and coil techniques. Returning students can refine their skills, experiment with more complex forms, and develop a more personal approach, with individualized guidance throughout.

CLASS FAQ

We don’t currently offer regular weekend classes. On weekends, we offer a one-time workshop on Saturdays from 12 pm (noon) to 2:30 pm.

Registration typically opens about 30 days in advance.

Classes are open to adults aged 18 and over.

All clay, tools, and supplies are provided, including aprons. Just come ready to create.

Yes, you can gift a class. When registering, please enter the student’s name and email address at checkout.
Alternatively, we also offer gift cards, which can be used toward future class bookings. You can find more details here.
Please note that member-only perks, including early access and discounted pricing, are reserved exclusively for active members. Classes purchased using these member benefits may NOT be gifted to non-members.
